Eco-Freindly Blogging

Hey everybody! We hope you are having a great week! Just think, it’s almost over: you can get to all the baking we know you’ll be doing this weekend! (or maybe that’s just us?) We have an extra blog post for you guys this week! We’re going to be introducing a new aspect to our blog that we’re really excited for and we hope that when you’re done with this post, you’ll be just as excited about it as we are!

What we are doing?

From now on we are going to be making this blog more eco friendly! What does this mean? Well, let us tell you (because if we don’t we might explode!). It means that we are going to be taking our impact on the Earth into consideration in our daily lives and the way we run the blog. Nothing is going to change that much for you guys. We’re still going to be posting recipes every week for you and we’re still going to travel and write posts about it (so you’ll still get to hear about how stupid we are when we travel!). The only thing that’s really going to be different is that we are going to write about how each recipe is sustainable and better for the environment. When we travel we are going to be trying to find sustainable and earth conscious places to visit.

Why are we doing this?

We’ve been wanting to do this for a while, but we weren’t sure how to go about it yet and when we rolled this out to you guys we wanted the idea to be as perfect as we could make it! We’ve spent the last year baking and baking and traveling as much as possible and it has made our love for this planet so much greater. It’s the most beautiful place filled with beautiful people, amazing views and grand adventures! We want generations that come after us to be able to enjoy it as much as, if not more than, we do and that means protecting it and helping to preserve it while we’re still here!

How are we doing this?

So, how exactly are we going to be doing this? It’s going to start with us using sustainable, fair trade, and eco friendly ingredients as much as possible when baking. When we travel, we will try to make it as eco friendly as possible. This means finding hotels that have sustainable practices or are completely eco friendly (this is a challenge that we’re looking to conquer!), using the public transportation while we are there, and any other practices we can think of! When we write about our travels, we’ll tell you how easy or hard it is to maintain this kind of travel in a location as well as how we went about doing it so that you can do it, too!

See? It’s not going to change that much! If you have any questions about this new aspect of our blog or about anything else, please let us know in the comments below, on Instagram, or feel free to email us, we’d love to hear from you and share this passion of ours with you! If you have any tips on these subjects we’d love to hear them! Thank you for reading, we hope you have a great rest of your week, safe travels, and may you always have a cookie in your cookie jar!
