Homemade Dole Whip

For years now, we’ve seen photos of Dole Whip from Disney Land and we’ve always wanted to try it. It’s actually one of the main reasons we’ve wanted to go to Disney Land. We don’t care about the rides or the characters or Mickey Mouse, we just want to eat the FOOD! So, when we got the chance to try it we were over the moon. And we were in no way, shape, or form disappointed. Dole Whip is one of the best desserts we’ve ever had, especially on a hot day!

Now, we didn’t actually try Dole Whip at Disney Land, but we imagine it tastes even better mixed with the magic of Disney. We actually tried it last year at the Renaissance Festival. And even after stuffing ourselves with all the fried food we could and eating as much fudge as we could handle, when we saw someone walking around with a pineapple with a little umbrella, we just HAD to try it. So, we followed the trail of pineapples to the stand and bought one for ourselves. We could have still eaten like 5 of these Dole Whips, they were that good.

Dole Whip is light and creamy. It’s perfectly refreshing for these hot days we’ve been having this summer. And even though it’s taken us months and months to finally make our own recipe, we’re glad we did! We’d like to believe that it’s just as good as the kind you’d get at Disney Land! Now we hear that they have flavors other than pineapple and we’re about to start planning a trip just so we can try it!
