Peanut Butter Cup Brownies

These brownies are perfectly fudge-y and filled with peanut butter cups. And then topped with a deliciously light and fluffy peanut butter frosting that is to die for!

  • 6 oz semi-sweet chocolate chopped
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 48 peanut butter cups

for the Frosting

  • 4 tbsp butter room temp.
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 2 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 cup Reese's Pieces (optional) roughly chopped


  1. Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a 9x9 inch pan with either foil or parchment paper. In a large bowl, melt together the chocolate and the butter. Whisk in the sugar.

  2. Add in the eggs, yolks, and vanilla and whisk until combined. Fold in the dry ingredients.

  3. Spoon about 1/2 the batter into the bottom of the pan. Place the peanut butter cups in rows until the batter is covered. Top with the remaining brownie batter. Bake for 35 minutes. Allow to cool completely before frosting.

for the Frosting

  1. Cream together the butter and peanut butter until light. Add the powdered sugar and milk and beat until light and fluffy.

  2. Spread the peanut butter frosting over the cool brownies and sprinkle with Reese's Pieces
