So, we’re going to be honest, on this vacation, we didn’t really eat at any “restaurants”. We were too busy admiring georgetown or the monuments to even think about lunch or dinner. So, typically we just ate at Union Station (which has a lot of great places to eat!). For not eating at “real” restaurants, we did eat a lot of good food. For starters, on our first night, we had Bojangles’. And let me tell you, it was the best decision of our lives. We are now fully prepared to move to the south just so that we can eat their biscuits everyday for every meal. They were the best biscuits that we’ve ever eaten and if you find yourself in Union Station and you don’t know what you want to eat, a Bojangles’ Biscuit is always the answer.
In Georgetown, you must go to Good Stuff Eatery. A friend recommended this place and we must say, it did not disappoint! They have burgers and milkshakes and delicious food. We both got turkey burgers, which were really good. The real show stopper for us though was this mango mayo (at least we think it was mayo??) they had. It was the bomb. If your in Georgetown, you must eat here and try the mango mayo.
Above is a picture of the cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcakes that we bought. We have been wanting to go here for a while now (basically ever since we saw their show) and it was definitely worth the wait. They were both exceptionally delicious! Basically the best cupcake I had ever had. So this is a must do if your in town.
Also in Georgetown is Baked & Wired. Which is also delicious. There are so many choices and we wanted to try them all! We didn’t think that was wise, so we got the German Chocolate Cupcake and the Nutella Brownie. These were both delicious as well! What we are saying is, there is no shortage of delicious bakeries in Georgetown and you must try them. If you don’t it would be a shame!
We hope you get to visit these bakeries. If you do let us know in the comments or on instagram @unchartedbakers.
Know of a really awesome bakery that we should try, let us know, we would love to hear from you! 🙂
